The word "Shikkoku" (Jet Black) finds its roots in the traditional Japanese craft of "Urushi" (lacquerware).

Through the meticulous process of layering, artisans create a black that does not merely reflect light, but rather "embraces the light within," creating a sense of infinite, boundless depth. It is a black so profound and quiet that one could almost lose themselves in its absolute stillness.
